How much a live wedding painting costs?

If you are already booked on my wedding day, can I still have a painting of my wedding by you?

Absolutely, I can paint your wedding at my studio from a reference photo, for a lower price than a live wedding painting. Please,
checkout the Add-on section, on the bottom of the Packages page.

What is the style of your paintings?

I capture my subjects in a painterly, but realistic manner. Focusing on the emotions and essence of the scene.

What is the process of hiring you for a live wedding painting?

After reading the FAQ and contacting me for availability, if I'm available on your date, I will send you an agreement with terms and conditions of hiring me as your wedding painter. This will include a clause about a 25% deposit, which will be due in order to book your date.

What happens on the wedding day?

Each wedding is different and I make sure that I work around your schedule for the day. We will have a full-consultation 4-6 weeks prior to your wedding to finalize these details.

I arrive approximately 2 hours prior to the moment you wish to capture (e.g. a moment from a photo shoot, first kiss, or ceremony). During this time, I set-up and prepare the canvas.

When it is time to gather my reference photos for the painting, I will meet you at our pre-discussed location. For example, your ceremony space, or your favorite area of the venue. There, I will photograph / create a video of the moment as it happens (e.g. a moment from your ceremony).

I will then use my reference photos to paint from, while your guests can watch the magic as I bring your painting to life.
At the end of the evening, I will show you the painting and then bring it with me to my studio to perfect it.
Your painting may be complete and shipped to you within 4 weeks.

Can I choose the scene and pose to be painted?

Yes, of course! However, if you are not sure what would be the best, I am happy to to help you.

How much time do you spend painting at the venue?

I will spend up to 7 hours at the venue painting live.

Do you charge for travel?

Anywhere within 2 hours drive of East Bend, North Carolina there is no additional cost.
2-5 hours drive outside of East Bend, NC gas & hotel is additional cost.

5 hours or more outside of East Bend, North Carolina I will need to be compensated for a flight, hotel room, and any additional transportation.

I will book flights or accommodations myself and include a price quote for travel fees, in the initial agreement.

What kind of paint do you use?

Professional oil paints on gallery wrapped canvas, that will last for many generations. The painting will not be framed, but it will be ready to hang when you receive it.
